Opera choreographed for Carla Fracci and ensemble with stage weapons designed by Hodson and Archer: triple-bladed sabres for the underworld angels and long torch for Demeter’s search to find her missing daughter Perséphone. Performed by vocal soloists Pamela Villoresi and Jean-Francis Monvoisin with Rome Opera dancers and chorus onstage; music: Stravinsky; libretto: Gide; decor by Bruno Caruso; costumes by Anna Biagiotti.
